Minecraft 1.17 communication: General information

We have received many questions regarding Minecraft 1.17 which will be released in mid-2021 and will bring many changes. Here is our first official communication about this.

StickyMC opened on January 15, 2021. However, Microsoft and Mojang recently announced Minecraft 1.17. In principle, a Minecraft update should never be a problem, but with the new world generation we as a server run into some problems, for which we are forced to reset the entire StickyMC world with the new Minecraft 1.17 world generation.

Pay attention and don't worry. You can register your created base in the current Minecraft survival world a few weeks in advance to have it transferred to the new world via our website or an external form. This is not yet possible at the moment, but we will keep you informed. This means that your home and belongings will be transferred. Unfortunately, animals are not included in this when transferring, and you would have to find them again yourself, but that doesn't seem like the hardest job to us, does it?

Unfortunately, nothing is known about your inventory and your enderchest. We will inform you about this as soon as possible.

I would like to add the following:

The current seed of the StickyMC Survival map must be completely reset at the time of the update to Minecraft 1.17. This is because the map's high point and low point are completely different from the current generation of the 1.16 world.

Because of the illustration below, I hope it becomes a little clearer. The old world is much shallower than the new world. This is due to the new update's new cave system. The height is also different due to different new biomes with incredibly high mountains, and the limit to place blocks is higher than the current world.
